Operational draft: requires appropriate review and approval before publication.
This disclosure explains Starboard's role when it coordinates an introduction to an independent professional provider. It should be read before relying on website information or deciding whether to proceed with an introduction.
Starboard is an introducer and coordinator
Starboard helps understand a basic inquiry, clarify the practical requirement, identify a potentially suitable independent provider, arrange contact and support the initial handoff. Starboard may remain available as a relationship point of coordination after the introduction.
Starboard does not perform company formation, registered office, local agent, legal, tax, accounting, bookkeeping, compliance, investment, banking, payment or other specialist or professional services described on this website. It does not recommend a location or entity structure.
The independent provider controls the engagement
Every independent provider controls its own:
- prospective client and matter acceptance;
- conflicts checks, onboarding and KYC requirements;
- engagement terms and professional relationship;
- service scope and any limits on that scope;
- pricing, fees and payment arrangements;
- advice and professional judgment;
- work plan and timing; and
- performance and delivery of accepted work.
The provider may ask for further information, propose a different scope, decline the matter or end an engagement under its own terms. Starboard cannot bind a provider, approve a client on its behalf or direct its professional judgment.
Website information is not advice
Website material is general information. It does not take account of a visitor's full facts and is not legal, tax, accounting, compliance, financial, investment or other professional advice. An introduction is not a recommendation to take a particular action and does not confirm that a proposed arrangement is suitable.
Visitors should seek their own advice from appropriately engaged professionals before making decisions or meeting obligations. They should not rely on the website or an initial coordination conversation for a deadline, filing, transaction or assessment of legal effect.
Results and timing
Neither a website inquiry nor an introduction promises provider acceptance, availability, timing, completion, approval, an account, a licence or any other outcome. Estimates or preliminary comments may change when the provider reviews the facts and records.
Provider terms and due diligence
Before engaging a provider, the prospective client should review the provider's identity, service scope, engagement terms, fees, privacy information, security arrangements, complaints process and any limits on responsibility. Questions about professional work should be put directly to the provider.
The client remains responsible for deciding whether the provider and its terms are suitable. Starboard's coordination does not replace that review.
Sensitive records and KYC
Do not submit passports, identity copies, proof of address, banking or payment credentials, tax identifiers, source-of-funds or source-of-wealth records, incorporation files or other sensitive or KYC documents through Starboard's public website.
If an independent provider needs such records, it should explain why they are needed and supply an appropriate secure onboarding route. The provider's privacy and retention practices apply to records sent directly to it.
Commercial or referral arrangements
Starboard may have a commercial or referral arrangement with an introduced provider. Where appropriate, the existence or relevant nature of that arrangement will be disclosed so the prospective client can consider it. Such an arrangement does not change the provider's responsibility for acceptance, professional judgment and delivery.
Responsibility after an introduction
Starboard remains responsible for its own coordination and communications. It is not responsible for an independent provider's professional judgment, advice, omissions, security practices or performance. Concerns about accepted professional work should first be addressed under the provider's engagement terms and procedures.
Questions about Starboard's role may be sent through Discuss Your Plans without attaching sensitive documents.
