Relationship-led coordination

About Starboard

Why Starboard uses a relationship-led model for independent professional introductions.

Why Starboard exists

Finding the right professional support for an international business requirement can take several conversations. It may also be unclear who should handle the first step. Starboard exists to understand that starting point, identify a suitable independent provider and coordinate a responsible introduction.

This is a relationship-led model. The value lies in a clear brief, a considered connection and steady communication while the client and provider establish their own working relationship.

One accountable point of coordination

Starboard gives the client and provider a consistent point of coordination during the initial handoff. We confirm what may be shared, arrange the connection and remain available if the original requirement needs clarification.

Accountable coordination does not mean control of the professional engagement. The independent provider decides whether to accept the matter and controls its scope, terms, pricing, advice, onboarding and delivery.

How we consider an introduction

Provider selection begins with the requirement. We consider whether a provider's stated field of work, relevant market coverage, capacity and approach appear suited to the inquiry. We also consider whether the provider can discuss the matter directly and explain its own acceptance process.

An introduction is based on the information available at the time. It is not an endorsement of every service the provider may offer, a promise of acceptance or a substitute for the client's own review of the provider and its engagement terms.

Confidentiality and responsible handling

Discretion starts with collecting less. Starboard asks for basic information needed to understand an inquiry and avoids requesting KYC or sensitive documents through the website. Before making an introduction, we confirm the context that may be shared.

Independent providers have their own confidentiality, privacy, security and record-handling practices. If a provider needs identity or onboarding records, it should supply the appropriate secure route and explain how it will handle them.

We use inquiry information for the relevant conversation, coordination and normal website operations. Our Privacy Policy explains the approach in more detail.

The relationship in plain terms

Starboard coordinates access. Independent professionals assess the facts, set their terms and perform any work they accept. The client remains free to decide whether the proposed introduction is suitable.

That separation keeps responsibilities clear while allowing Starboard to remain present as a practical relationship contact.

Our brand line

People | Places | Opportunities | Further Together

The line reflects the people involved in each introduction, the places in which business may operate and the opportunities that begin with a useful connection. It does not alter the boundaries of Starboard's role.
