This notice explains how the Starboard website intends to use cookies and similar browser storage at launch. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text records that a website can store through a browser. They can help a site maintain a session, remember a limited choice, protect forms, support security or allow an authorised administrator to sign in. Similar browser storage may perform related functions.
Cookies intended for the public site
The public site is intended to use only essential and functional cookies needed to operate, secure and maintain the website. These may support session handling, form protection, security controls or a visitor's necessary functional choice.
The launch site does not use advertising or profiling cookies. It is not intended to use nonessential analytics cookies or third-party embeds that set cookies for audience measurement, advertising or behavioural profiling.
Cookie names, providers and retention periods can change with verified website configuration. This notice therefore describes the approved purpose and boundary rather than listing technical values that have not been confirmed.
Administrator cookies
WordPress administrators who sign in to manage the site may receive login, authentication, security and preference cookies. These administrator cookies support restricted site management and do not indicate that an ordinary public visitor has an account.
Future analytics or embedded content
Nonessential analytics, media embeds or similar tools must not be activated until their data use has been reviewed. Before activation, Starboard must update this notice and any related privacy information, configure the tool appropriately and introduce consent controls where required.
A future tool will not be treated as essential merely because it is useful for reporting or presentation.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow a person to view, block or delete cookies and to limit storage by a site. The controls differ by browser and device, so visitors should use their browser's help or privacy settings for current instructions.
Blocking essential or functional cookies may affect form protection, session continuity, saved choices or access to parts of the site. Deleting cookies can remove a saved choice and cause the site to ask for it again.

Starboard may update this notice when the verified website configuration changes. The last-updated date will show when the text was revised.
